Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Pink Sauvignon Blanc - say what?? Yep I'm not kidding you, that's exactly what this Kiwi wine is. It's made of 94% Sauvignon Blanc and 6% Pinot Noir - it smells/tastes just like Sauvy B with a splash of colour and hint of strawberries. Ta_ku means 'My' in Maori which is why this wine label has affectionately come to be known as 'My Kiwi wine'. I think it's a fab twist on both Sauv Blanc and rosé wine! So wine not!

On the eye it's a pinky-peach colour. It very much has that grassy, gooseberry Sauvy nose with a slight hint of strawberries and baking spice sweetness.
In the mouth it's dry with good acidity that went well with my smorgasbord of treats; spinach, prawn and strawberry salad alongside Sicilian green olives & auricchio provolone cheese with Pinot jam on crackers 👌

Sweet and fruity with notes of passionfruit, slightly acidic finish. Easy drinker.

Good flavor & medium bodied. Somewhat light.
