Frediani Vineyard Charbono

Not sure if this is the exact wine...new vintage. It's big Napa. Extracted. High-octane. Needs a couple years. The varietal character might be a little lost to oak. High alc. but enjoyable. Great with the middle eastern lamb kabobs we grilled. Black berry fruit.

Surprisingly light-bodied. Herbal nose, graphite giving way to a dark cherry cherry finish. Soft tannins with just enough structure. Nice by itself, but very food friendly.

Dave couldn't identify the grape until I told him. In trying to type Charbono, my phone autocorrected to Charboni followed by Charbobo. Either way, fruity cinnamon cobbler.

2011. Focused with its expression. Great food wine

Amazing 10 year old charbono. One of the best wines I’ve had this year. Rich, smooth blackberry jam and soft tannins.

Some veggies some herb some fruit. blends well.

Good aroma, med body, great flavor, nice smooth finish, great value

Herbal and crisp. Game night continues.

Great with fresh pasta and bolognese sauce.
