The 2018 was a lot more fruit forward, lots of cherry, bigger bodied (nearly 1% higher alcohol than 2017), and still lots of cedar, but less of the subtle earthy, leathery flavors on the nose or palate. Enjoyable but quite a bit different.

The 2017 was noticeably more nuanced in nose and palate, with a variety of earth and leather, and chocolate, with well blended cedar. Medium to low bodied, not big, yet with some tannic strength still, nearly 5 years from harvest.

I had the Triple Block 2016. Sour cherry, some leather, some baking spices. Low to mid body, balanced acidity and tannins.

Bought off of “Sweet Cheeks” and label art! Non repulsive to the novice wine drinker.

Lovely fruit forward, well rounded easy finish WA style Pinot. Food friendly especially more tomato based strong Mediterranean herb/spice pairings.
