Hochborn Riesling

Huge and expressive nose. So mineral. Some sponti, apricot, complex earthiness, so fine, so stanky, great. Palate is elegant and ripe with complex juiciness and good depth. Lemony fruit and real good length. Showing very well. Terrific wine. Really needed 4-5 years.

Insane minerality as expected from this site. So clean as pungent. Just amazing. Some of the most amazing aromatic minerality I’ve smelt in a long time. Some lime zest. Confectionary sugar. Intense citrus develops after 15-20 minutes but that intense mineral signature is still there. Ocean breeze as well. Fatter and denser than the 14 but also with more structure and intensity. Needs some age but a better wine than 14. Will be amazing in 5 years. 15’s closing down but what a vintage.

If granny smith apples were an artisanal product this is what their juice would taste like if it were mixed with gnarly plalz minerality. Like Granny Smith but cleaner and more intense with finely ground slate. One of those wines that is singular and hard to describe. Some fine granny skin on the finish. A necessary component of a German white cellar. Bought from Fass Selections.

gorgeous aromas, huge fruit. Melon, huge fruit, very very opulent. Giving, but lean and nervy with great balance. More stuff, mouthwatering, salty finish. So pure. Opulence and terrific texture. Needs a few years.
