Popped and poured. The 2008 Sutcliffe Petit Verdot pours a deep purple showing signs of garnet on the rim. Medium+ viscosity with some moderate staining and signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous (finally) showing black plums, black cherry, purple flowers, new leather, some green herbs and some baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes on the nose. The finish is medium. In their youth, I find these wines pretty green but with a load of patience, they show their quality. An interesting and enjoyable Petit Verdot from the Four Corners of Colorado. Drink now.
