This is a fun varietal for after work on a Saturday night. 10 years past it’s vintage and it’s showing no end in sight. Great tannin structure and vibrant with red fruit. Tastes like biting in to a pomegranate and biting down on one of the seeds. Also known as Dolce Noir, Bonarda, or Charbonneau. Hard to find from Napa, but if you come across it, grab it! I would guess this would be good for another 5-7 years.

I feel like this wine was perfectly aged, mellow tannins with hints of spice. Not my favorite varietal but overall a good wine.

Wonderful bouquet, fruity, cherries, plum flavored. Very nice with eggplant Parmesan.
