A straight up outstanding Canadian red. Bold, dark fruit notes, smooth and well balanced with that softer, more velvety mouthfeel you either love or hate in a Merlot. Prominent cherry, plum and blackberry with a hint of vanilla on the finish. Black Sage by Sumac Ridge in Summerland, BC continues to produce some of my favourite reds. This Merlot is as equally excellent as their Cab Franc.
