Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

Day 2… much more aromatic. Fruit forward with blackcherry and currants. Pipe tobacco, vanilla bean and clove show evidence of barrique. Opulent pith feel with gritty tannins. Dark forest fruits and cedar linger on the palate which is persistent to finish. Drink with a several hour decant, but best to lay down a few more years I suspect.

Classic Rutherford. Dark cherry fruit, bit of dusty spice, cassis, and vanilla.

89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petite Verdot. Dark ruby color with some purple highlights and a thin garnet rim. Aromas of black fruit, cocoa, cola and a very noticeable hint of mint. The full bodied palate features black berry/plum/cherry fruit, tobacco, dark chocolate, dried herbs, baking spices and black pepper. Long and lingering earthy finish features a touch of vanilla. This is a decent Napa Cab. Complex and graceful. Plenty of char and decent fruits. Jam and jelly of berries. Lovely finish. Chewy too.

Always a favorite when grilling steaks, and didn't fail thjs time either. Full body and smooth, with a long finish and nice balance throughout.

Earth more than fruit. Large tannic structure. Definite food wine. Tobacco finish.

Nice wine. Smooth but with a good depth.  really benefited from decanting.
