Lovely. Thought it was a Chablis in our blind. Very mineral-driven, bright, and textural. I thought it had a touch of oxidative musk, but it didn’t detract from the quality of the wine. One to revisit.

Served double blind, the color was a brilliant, deep gold color and the bouquet was a touch wild with dried stone fruits and toasted almonds. On the palate, this came across quite fresh…and tropical! The predominate fruit character reminded me of dragon fruit a touch of lemon and an undeniable maritime influence in the form of ocean spray. The finish is bone dry and there is generous acidity. I actually found this to be even somewhat tannic? I figured there was a non-interventionalist approach to the winemaking. Regardless, I loved whatever this was despite really struggling to place it. Clearly, this was made in a more oxidative style but it didn’t really strike me as a Rioja. When this was revealed, I got really excited. I had never tried one of Luis Seabra’s wines before and now everything made sense. What a treat. Need more of this in my life! 100% Listán Blanco from vines over a century old.

Most unique wine I’ve had in a while. Saline, petrol, lemons.

Any time a Somm asks you if you want to try something cool you should always say yes. Mineral-y, yet oxidative and nutty. A wine that’s full of (delicious) left turns.

Totally unique, saline, touch of sweetness to the fruit. Bit heavy on the sulphides but this is a great wine - find it.

This really needs some serious air and age, reductive to start but then mellowing out to citrus oil, macadamia nut and a strangely attractive meat jus note, like bobtail mixed with heather honey and lemon oil. There is plenty of Chablis esq reduction that edges into smoky bacon land but adds character. Lemon wet towels. Amazing structure in the mouth, it's almost like a vine creeper moving up through your mouth, a powerful snap on the mid palate, infinitely fresh, snappy mineral and with a gripping finish.

Mid Gold in colour. Aromas of citrus and Grapefruit. Very much in the Mediterranean white mould of being textural and mouth filling. From the Canary Islands made from the Listan Blanco grape. Mouth watering sour appley finish with good fruit acidity.

Quite reductive in the start but it opened nicely during our dinner. Still a bit flinty but very enjoyable.
