It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here's a wonderful Napa Cabernet.
Deep ruby in color with a short purplish rim.
Fruity nose with blackberries, blackcurrants, raisins, dried figs, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, mocha, coke, light vegetables, spices and black pepper.
Full-bodied, bold and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with black plums, black cherries, sweet spice, cedar, leather, chocolates, tobacco, vanilla extract, spice box, black pepper, coke and medium roast coffee.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a great Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Very typical and tasty. Nicely balanced with nice complexity and mouthfeel.
Needs 90 minutes to open up properly and remove the bitterness and acidity, so take your time, this is not a pop and pour kind of wine.
This delicious Cabernet is still young, and will be better in the next 5 years.
A good wine to sip on with friends, and good with food too. Will pair nicely with barbecue beef steak.
I paired it with soft and hard cheeses and almonds.
A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot. Aged in 75% new French oak barrels.
14.9% alcohol by volume.
