Hemel en Aarde Valley Chardonnay

9 year old vine on shale soil. Saline, lemon oil, lifted aromatics of tangerine, white peach, peach blossom, yogurt/cream, orange blossom, yogurt candy, mushroom, reductive. 8 months new French oak. Medium intensity, acidity, and finish. Tighter, more restrained, gravelly on the palate.

i was surprised by how delightful i found this! a beautiful, round mouthfeel, that had a lovely peak of acidity to finish. a touch of oak, notes of ripe pears that gave way to citrus. i really enjoyed this.
