Super delicious drop! Mike Symons (GM/Winemaker) was gracious enough to give me a tour of his operation and cracked this beauty open when we got back to the tasting room.

Great nick. Roast red capsicum and strawberry/raspberry smoke and earth on the nose, good fruit concentration and lively through the palate. Very good drinking.

Fair bit of bricking, nose is fairly pronounced with roast root vegetables, barnyard, plum and clove. Mid weight and showing good fruit from entry on - plum compote and red cherry - plus spice, caramel, beetroot. Nice complexity without feeling deep - more a sense of entwined flavours. Length and freshness pretty good, that oak caramel sweetness lingering with stewed rhubarb and red plum. Good drink; have got more tucked away but I'll be onto it soon - drinking well and don't think it's going to improve from here.
