Mid Lemon/pale gold in colour. Obvious Barrel ferment - somewhat “worked” oatmeal and nutty characters. Also aromas of peach and pear - a lot going on here. Medium plus palate intensity. A classy full bodied and generous Chardonnay. Excellent quality. As good as a well credentialled Premier Cru. Highlighting how good the Mornington Peninsula is for the Burgundian varieties. One of the 1001 Wines.

Oak Peach Grapefruit some butteriness. In a cooler wet year like 2011 the Whites show better than the Reds here. I have always loved Yarra Valley Whites and Reds but now really developing a taste for nearby Mornington Peninsula Wines particularly after our visit there last year.

2004 vintage surprisingly fresh (stelvin closure) bright lemon yellow lemon curd & lime leaf; nectarine white peach and great mid palate richness without being "fatty". Pairing of the night w Peruvian white corn nuts

Love it. That notorious 2011 vintage did little to stem he flow of great Chardonnay from Victoria's best vineyards and handlers. This has just enough ripeness to the citrus and stone fruits, the oak is superbly judged in its structural and flavour contribution and the acids give it great line and length. A delicious, refined drink.

'08 Reserve Chard - quite light, creamy, residual integrated oak and spice.

This Mornington Peninsula (Australia) Chardonnay is perfect with crab. A very juicy wine, yet rich and flavorful.

I think JH got this spot on. Nectarines, stonefruites finished with a buttery texture. Neat complexity that aged well.
