Tonight I am having the 2012 Stonestreet Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alexander Valley. 95% Cab Sauvignon with the rest Merlot and Malbec. This is a very aromatic wine with rich dark fruit. Blackberry, black cherry, plum, black currant, violet and hints of vanilla. On the palate the dark fruits continue through showing blackberry, black cherry, currant, cassis, and vanilla. There is a medium + acidity and medium + tannins. I get a nice full and rounded mouth feel and we'll integrated tannin. A very nice cabernet, totally enjoying this effort.
