Sonoma Valley Sauvignon Blanc

32% semillon and sees barrel time...more body, darker in color- Pistachio, floral olive oil. Quince. Meyer lemon peel. Mustard blossom.

Had side by side with a 2018 from another producer. Nice compliment. Softer edges. Fuller profile with some oak influence. Citrus notes but not overly tart.

Paired with grilled Octopus and a fig salad with a champagne vinegarette dressing - was magical. ‘16 does not come off as typical Sauv Blanc profile. Softer with vanilla hints. Really matched well.

Interesting to compare 14, 15 and 16 side by side. 15 was tighter, most tart of three.

Liked the ‘14 best. Smoother profile. More balanced.

Tart. Green apples with hints of vanilla.
