A pleasant surprise - leather, dark fruit, and a bit of alcohol on the nose. Short-medium finish with pleasant, grippy tannins. I love what the sangiovese and the grenache do for the wine - still bold from the syrah, but with less intensity and concentration so it becomes more approachable and more adaptable as a food pairing.
