$7.99 @ Costco. Easy drinking, blackberry, currant and raisin. Decent for the price.

Apr 3rd, 2016A very green merlot. Bright, clear, deep ruby color, pink watery rim, med. stain, no gas or sediment.
Clean, medium intensify peppery nose, black cherry black currant, smoke & spice from the oak on the nose.
Dry and peppery on the palate, extremely tannic with medium acidity, dark cherry fruit, dark plum, some very woody notes. Bitter and metallic notes crashing the party that tells me this is industrial-grade American wine. Medium body, medium complexity, short finish. Poor balance. A cab drinker's merlot, lacking in much of the vanilla or big fruit. A bit of a bummer to drink.
