Not a great single varietal Cab Franc fan but this one from the Bourgueil region in the Loire Valley was fantastic. So much body and depth. Nice dark earthy notes, fresh pepper and it actually had a finish!! And it had just a slight hint of that barnyard under note that I love! Than again, hey, like every self respecting Dutchman, I grew up on a dairy farm 😎
