Unfortunately a thing of the past. Lovely wine, vibrant and full at 10 years young. Powerful, structured Chenin.

Mar 22nd, 2017Damn, this wine gets me. Profound and captivating, a wine I keep thinking about weeks later. This vintage is rounder and fleshier, pushing closer to great white Burgundy, where the 07 is more acid and Chenin wooly/sappy. Wow. So sad to have only just found these wines after Stephane's untimely death.

Who says natural wines taste like cider? This is one of the greatest Loire whites I've tasted - easily the equivalent of a great white burgundy. Sadly the winemaker Stephane Cossais died at a tragically young age
