Calabria IGT Mantonico

Not quite in the sweet spot. Idiosyncratic. Doesn't taste like a typical white. Nose and palette is indescribable. Maybe detect some almonds or nuts.

First Mantonico, great golden hue, mango, grapefruit, green almonds, w flowers, and almost a synthetic tone. Diminished acidity. Texturally reminds me of Viognier and similar with those lush fruits and floral notes.

Just great. Young but a nice opener at Mistura with apps.

White flowers but nice crisp finish.

2009. Easy drinking for Magers birthday at Terroir.

Of course Max introduces us to a grazie we have never heard of before! ☺️👍
