Standing Stone has been been one of the more reliable and venerable Finger Lakes wineries, but had dropped off in quality. Recently it was taken over by Hermann J. Wiemer, another fine Seneca Lake winery. The tasting room has been revamped and gone rustic to cool. This wine is totally Finger Lakes but not at the level it should be able to attain once they get vineyards back on track. Still quite drinkable just a bit lacking in character.

Such a nice example of what finger lakes can produce. Just off dry, ripe apricot and some golden apples. These folks have improved.
