Dark Ruby, aromas of ripe berry fruits, herbs and cigar box spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and black currant with vanilla oak, tobacco and earthy notes. Well balanced, fine tannins long finish ending with fruit, espresso notes and sweet earthy spice! Nice now and will drink well over next decade.

Young but good. Expected a bit more expressiveness from this wine, but paired well with hamburgers. Previous vintages of The Leap Cabernet from Stags’ Leap Winery were better, so perhaps this may have been consumed too prematurely. I’ll definitely keep my other 2018 reds from SLW in the cellar for longer.
