Dark and silky, with a distinctive jalapeño note on top of its black fruit and mocha. Tastes like a spicy chocolate mole sauce. Nice elegant feel and texture.

Opaque and brooding. Aromas of red and black fruit, cedar, coffee, and spice. More of the same on the palate, with dusty tannins, mineral, excellent acid and a finish that does not quit. I would probably score this higher, but it's too young (which is really my fault for not being patient). A magnificent example of the elegance of the appellation, this wine definitely has aging potential. Thanks Mike!
