Feb 23rd, 2020Opened 2 bottles... first cork disintegrated in the aso. Wine was good, slightly oxidized good dried black cherry. Basically dried out old Cali Cab.
2nd bottle cork came out fine with only half saturated - good seal. Wine was vibrant, dried blueberries, dried sage, lots of dried floral note - the palate was rich dark cherry, and meaty with a bit of herb and wood. Crazy wine that was very first growth Bordeaux like.
