Popped and poured; no formal notes. This 2001 St. Supery “Dollarhide” was enjoyed alongside a 2005 Beaulieu Vineyard “Georges De Latour” and a 2006 Chappellet “Pritchard Hill” Cabernet Sauvignon. All three were well stored examples from the same cellar. A vinous wine. The St. Supery has aged beautifully. The black and red fruits are still present but beginning to take on a more dessicated character. Leather, pipe tobacco, earth and baking spices are all accounted for. Tannins all but completely integrated at this point. Finish is long and satisfying. Drink now but this won’t fall off a cliff in the next five years either.
