A wine of chiseled strength and still a character of inviting warmth -like a mutual hug both tighter and longer than mere pretense could affect. This is Blanc de Blancs of Willamette Valley à la acclaimed terroir driven winemaker Mark Vlossak and it is in a beautiful place right now; both rich yet ethereal, grounded yet otherworldly as great Blanc de Blancs can be. A rara avis to be sure and every bit as charming to confidently and nonchalantly pull itself up to any table shared by fine champagne. Raising this glass to the Pacific Northwest!

May 2nd, 2016Wine for the totality in Corvallis. Beautiful bretty nose, waves of brioche, pastry, pear and Gravenstein apple in the mouth, fine carbonation. A lovely expression of Willamette Valley sparkling wine.

Aug 21st, 2017A tad sweet for me but acid saves this aged wine. Seems to be on the down slide, tasting a bit like overripe/rotten apple due to excessive acetaldehyde oxidation. Very cider-ish. BUT makes for an interesting aperitif.
