Ruby in color with medium intensity and a pink rim.

Fruity on the nose with blackberries, blueberries, cherries, currants, oak, beef jerky, licorice, plums and black pepper.

Light to medium bodied with faint Legs and medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, strawberries, currants, green pepper, herbs, plums, licorice, vanilla, wood and black pepper.

Tart finish with soft tannins and bitter almonds.

This one is too tart for my taste, yet it is better with food. I paired it with trout.

A blend of 50% Shiraz, 41% Grenache and 9% Touriga.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

Good, basic Barossa Shiraz without any of the overripe fruit you might normally see. It's not pretending to be anything else and at around $11, it's pretty good value.

It's a very average Shiraz. Price is about $17 but not really worth it. Disappointing.

Chocolate hints make this 2013 wine a real cellaring opportunity with depth not found in most 2013 wines at this price.
