Diasappointing in two respects. First, I got this as a “mystery” wine from Garagiste. It wasn’t expensive, but I don’t expect Garagiste to foist a 15.6%, jammy Zin, with residual sugar, in a bottle as heavy as a howitzer shell, on its clientele. Second, why make a Zin like this from amazing Dry Creek terroir? Leave this sort of jam bomb to the folks in f-ing Lodi. Doing this to what were likely potentially amazing raw materials is a sin.

Deep purple in the glass with jammy notes of black fruit on the nose. The palate has plenty of #junkinthetrunk with ripe round flavors of black plums, blackberries, black cherries, and a dark chocolate in the finish. 9 out of 10.
