Just a stunningly expressive nose. Unreal spice, flowers and black cherry. Tiny berried fruit intensity. Wow. Just wide wide open. Palate is gorgeous, Sweet fruit but not too sweet and unreal texture. Spice throughout. Just gorgeous. Outrageous inner mouth perfume. So juicy and clean. Unreal lithe tannins and so so juicy and fresh. Just bursting.

Apr 16th, 2026Nose starts with some reduction but those sweet sweet cherries are underneath. Stunning spice and with some coaxing now I am back in Jenins tasting with Jan Luzi. Gorgeous nose now. Enveloping and complex with great breadth. Fantastic palate with unreal freshness and purity and terrific acid and tannic (elegant) architecture. Dense and juicy with just awesome texture and refinement. My goodness the fruit is so good. Stunning. Fresh. Bursting and super super pure. This is even better than I remember. It’s got perfect balance and vibrates on its own plane. Brilliant wine! Terrific inner mouth aromas and structure to burn. Outrageous length. Wow. On day 2 this goes to a 9.6 as the fruit gets even more pure, a little darker and is just ultra delicious.

Appropriate to the wineries crest, this shot an arrow straight through my heart.
The app wasn't working last night so I don't have detailed notes but it has everything I want in Pinot: structure, not only complexity but mystery, uniqueness of character and place, brightness and freshness plus depth and earthy darkness.
So sad that I only have one bottle. Maybe Mr. @Lyle Fass can get me more.
