Out of Magnum solid Napa Cabernet with lots of jammy cassis , spice and a touch of oak. Elegant and well Balanced on the palate with a little tannin left . A good time to start drinking it.

05' Spottswoode Estate Cabernet. Written about this 2005 several times. Decanted it for only an hour. Front of the palate? Middle & back of the palate are beautiful! Black cherry, red licorice, sweet chocolate. Light acidity, with softened tannins. Just consistently making great wines year after year.

05' Spottswoode Cabernet. Decanted for an hour. The color is a ruby red. The nose is striking earthiness & perfume. The palate blueberry, cedar, minerals, light acidity. Tannins flow easily through the palate. Feminine style of wine . This is not a bruiser...very enjoyable. Happy Father's Day!

Popped and poured; drank over 2 hours. Dark, dark color - black/blue ink. Black fruits and some oak. Still very fresh, and for me, will be better and more interesting with 3+ years.
