Nose is fully secondary. Stunning red cherry fruit, sous bois, wild mint, wow this so outrageously complex and nuanced. Really genius. 9.6 nose. Wow. This is so much better than when I had it last time. Palate is so fresh and energetic. Sappy and sweet with terrific purity and length. Finish needs to fill out a bit but it’s all there. 9.4 for now. Nose is getting honeyed now. So good. Florals. Smells like a Vosne-Romanee.

Apr 2nd, 2022Stunning Vosne Romanee like nose. Just gorgeous and deep. Hint of wood spice, mulberry, bright deep dark cherries, glorious other spices like cardamon and clove with devastating purity. Nose is so layered, and man is it pungent. Smells like it is just entering its drinking window. Palate is a dream you don’t want to wake up from. Sappy and pure with a hit of opulence and lovely fruit that is more skin than body. Incredible balance and purity with a step above lithe structure. Terrific sweetness and exquisite balance. Long lingering finish. It has that Pinot lacey texture and impressive sweetness. This is gaining depth and sweetness as it opens. Brilliant.
