Soter is Tony Soter's life-long study in viticulture and winegrowing. Settled at Mineral Springs Ranch in the Yamhill-Carlton District of the Willamette Valley. Aged for 12 months in 40% new French oak. A complex nose of ripe berry, sweet spice & dried red fruits with floral scents. On the palate if flavors of sweet cherry and strawberry, vanilla notes, savory acidity with smooth silky tannins. Lingering finish ending with mineral notes. Starting to drink well now.

Light frame and aroma; pleasant. Exceedingly tasty black raspberry and raspberry fruit. Some red fruit caramel, cardamom and clove. Quite a lot to offer.

Raw power on the nose. A facile comparison — sorry — but power of Cotes de nuit, not gevrey but vosne. Rich and tannic but balance. Excellent.
