Fiore Vernaccia di San Gimignano

The 2021 Vernaccia di San Gimignano Fiore is a blend of three clones taken from just free run juice. That approach yields a soft, creamy Vernaccia with gorgeous textural richness and fine balance. Orchard fruit, white flowers, mint, white pepper and a kiss of spice all build effortlessly. Beautifully persistent and classy, the Fiore is a winner from Montenidoli. Pale to medium lemon; pronounced intensity aromas of baked golden apple, peach, golden raspberry, intense cedar, baking spices, vanilla; dry, medium acid, medium alcohol, full bodied, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; very ripe and round on the palate (acid perhaps a bit low), but very command concentrated

Valencia orange zest, carrots, pine nuts & a teensy bit of tarragon. Yummy as all hell.

2009 is drinking great. Developed character, but still with great saline minerality and acidic verve.

I think I'm officially an acid head because I LOVED this.

Honeyed fennel palate very stony mineral clean nose. Round and simple on some level but quite nice.

1/12 is a surprise chianti! At least it's a tasty one.
