This is in a good window. Huckleberry pie, lavender, cigar wrapper. Exotic, singular. Lifted and bright while still showing its warmer climate origins. Nicely done David and Anna!

Meat and red fruit. A nice Syrah at 13% ABV. A producer to keep an eye on. #CelebrationOfHarvest

(2016 vintage - January 2021) Light and peppery but not too light. Great with spicy feta dip and pita chips. Second half of the bottle is going with a steak in about an hour. Solminer wines are some of the best on the central coast and an incredible value. I wish we could bring a case to a party. 12.5%.

A refined Syrah, light on its feet and yet rich in its finish. A walk through the woods in springtime. Tobacco leaf and slight hints of game make their way to the palate along with wild raspberry and huckleberry. Elegant, delicious, unique.

Clear deep ruby color.
Clean nose, pronounced intensity. On the nose, primary aromas of blackberry and black/white pepper, with secondary aromas of chocolate and coffee, as well as tertiary aromas of meaty.
Dry, medium(+) acidity, medium(+) tannin, medium(+) alcohol, medium(+) bodied, pronounced flavor intensity. On the palate, primary aromas of black cherry, with secondary aromas of cloves. Long finish.

One of the better American wines I've had of late. Silky and mouth filling with good acid. Went great with merguez.
