Tried another bottle about a year later than original tasting. From Paso Robles and aged for 9 months in oak barrels. Dark Ruby with jammy berry fruit aromas and herbal spice. On the palate blackberry and currant flavors with herb, pepper and tobacco notes. Harsh Tannins, firm that have not loosened up and doubtful if they ever will, acidic on a short ending. Tasting Sample. Ok, not great, as good as it will get.

Actually better on its own than with food, steak at least. A good red if you just want wine and aren't pairing it with food.

No real depth but okay juice. It has a pleasant drinkability it's mistaking for elegance, but if you need a plain oaky porch pounder, here it is.

"I have never had a wine from Paso Robles that I didn't LOVE!" and after last night that's still true today! Great value. Great taste. Dark fruit flavors aged in oak come together nicely!

It is a bit acidic, little depth...and feels a little dry for a cab, but very drinkable. Great price point

I really like something about this wine. Nice flavor for a cheaper bottle.
