Dark, rich nose of currant, mocha dust and a hint of smoke. Blackberries pop on the palate with a deep, dense structure and firm acid. Based on tasting the '98 side-by-side, I'd recommend letting this go to 2019 and drinking then (because of how the brett takes over the wine).

Mild brett on the nose sticks out a bit (horse sweat style) with a burst of pomegranate. Licorice and light dusty tannins with some more brett on the palate. Drink now - a touch past peak.
