
This fattened up in bottle, in a good way, and put on more meaty, spicy character than it had a few years ago. Chris made some great wines up there; looking forward to what Adam Smith does in the coming vintages.

This is pretty interesting. Sierra foothills. Kind of spicy ripe Burgundian feel to it, might be just entering the downslope, but pretty enjoyable right now. Not super extracted. Earthy. Light to medium body. Tertiary. Some red fruits. Maybe a little wonky. Fire sale at K&L. $15 (was 60). // edit: I like this quite a bit better on day two from the fridge.
