Artist's Red Mendocino County Syrah Blend
Cute touches on the label. Reminds me of an old school CA guide book my grandparents owned. Nice dark maroon hue in the glass. Smells pretty robust. Pine needles, dried cherries and milk chocolates. Flavor is decent if a bit big and CA fruit/oak driven. Has plenty of tannin. Mocha, mixed berry pancakes (syrup and the cake), and strawberry jam. Drifts towards uninspired ‘Bold Blend Red’, but it’s definitely fun and easy. It’s a everyday Mendo red. Goes great with a couple buds ;-).

Jan 14th, 2020Very yummy. Let it open up a bit. Toffee and earth with a surprisingly long finish for its youth. Impressive!
