This Pinot from Anderson Valley has been in top form lately and it is truly one of my favorites. I think earth-soaked cherry is the best way to describe it. It's a cab-lover's Pinot with complexity, intense flavor, and a full mouthfeel that isn't always easy to find in California Pinots. I would definitely pop the cork on one of these and see how it has matured since its release. The earthy undertones make me happy.

Well worth the wait.. Well, ok, only 8 months but still. Shows the purity of the Andersson valley, with dark fruit, plummy spice, rhubarb, and a creamy, sultry palate. I'll have another.

Aged very nicely and in perfect form. As Laura stated about the 2012, it is more robust and a "cab lovers Pinot". We love these and often open for dinner or just on a nice evening outside.

An excellent Pinot. Easy to drink, soft with berry flavors.

Some old ladies have those silk-upholstered throw pillows lying around the living room. Drinking this wine was like drinking one of those pillows. It was utterly soft yet it had shape and lift. Pure, intense cherry liqueur flavors and a complex, ever-evolving spice note that ran from clove, to ginger, to allspice, to sasparilla. Paul Hobbs makes another amazing Pinot Noir!

Tasty, with soft tannins and dark fruit. Eager to see how it drinks in 6-12 months.
