Made in only small quantities, in the best years with the best fruit 🍇 and best Bordeaux oak barrels - meet the 2017 Singlefile “The Philip Adrian” Frankland River Cabernet Sauvignon from WA’s Great Southern wine region 😍

Thank you Singlefile for sharing this beauty with me! This impressive wine will cellar for the next 40 or so years, however I couldn’t resist giving it a taste and oh boy it’s tasting pretty darn good right now too 👌

It’s made up of 97% Cab Sauv and a 3% lick of Malbec. Forty-eight percent of the wine was matured in new Bordeaux oak barriques for 14 months and the rest went into one-year-old (40%) and two-year-old (12%) Bordeaux barriques for the same amount of time. The wine was then bottle aged for a further 12 months prior to being released last month 🍷

In the glass I found it a rich garnet shade. On the nose it is lavish and elegant, think mixed berries with mocha and a whiff of forest floor. In the mouth it’s smooth and juicy with a long sweet berry finish. A powerful wine that’s only going to get better 🖤

This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
