My favorite Pinot noir this far in my wine journey had trouble with the cork being 14 years old but still great tasting

Spicy apple pie and strawberry preserves nose. Palate has more spice, cooked strawberry, dark cherry, with a hint of molasses. Medium minus tannins, high alcohol, and high acid. I think the 2015 is drinking fine now, but I don’t think it needs to age much more.

The flagship of the Silvestri line, the Rising Tide pinot never disappoints. With cherry, strawberry, cedar, and a hint of spice, this fresh and balanced, light bodied sipper is a classic example of Carmel Valley sophistication. Less flamboyant then the famous SLH cousins to the north, consider the Carmel Valley region like the Gigondas to the cousin CDP.

Strawberry and cherry with a hint of glazed sugar. Silky smooth and balanced from start to finish. Chewy in the finish with nice acid lingering. This is a lovely light bodied red that typifies a Carmel Valley Pinot.

Light ruby color. Plumb, rhubarb and stewed fruit on the nose. Dark cherry, black berry, oak, rhubarb pie, and tart cherry cobbler with a tart smokey finish. Viscous and compact, this is an excellent example of a Carmel Valley Pinot.

Light ruby color. Lovely nose reminiscent of the nearby SLH cousins. Tart cherry, oak and spice on palate with lingering acid. A bright and fresh pinot, excellent alone or well paired with grilled salmon, baked chicken, turkey, and most straight up fish dishes.
