Decanted for 1 hour. Red color with medium body. Mixed Berry blast on the fore palate. Finish morphed with time, astringent acid early in the bottle, smooth with black pepper spice at the end of the bottle. Conjured memories of our California trip - spent a few hours at Silverado sipping & tasting while we waited on the rental car - a great place to be stranded!! Amazing view! (Grilled steak rubbed with Brazilian seasonings, roasted fresh beet feta salad, sautéed asparagus - on the lanai)

In my limited experience with Zinfandel wines, prior to this bottle, I was never all that impressed with this varietal. Silverado has opened my mind to a new world of possibilities.

So smooth, I could easily drink this by itself or with a wide variety of tasty vittles.
