Found another bottle, medium ruby with aromas of ripe red fruits and heavy earthy spice. On the palate tart ripe cherry, plums and cacao flavors. Firm tannins, high acidity, medium(-) finish ending with herb and earthy mushroom notes. Good, going downhill and displays way too much of an earthy for my tastes.

A very youthful example of a warm vintage Barolo. Classic tar, roses, cold tea, cherry, subtle spice aromatics, palate has the firm tannins and taught acid structure as expected. Cracking wine, still a baby.

Very dark sensations at nose and in mouth. Plum, black pepper, tobacco, licorice, smooth tannins and a clear and long finish.

Tasted at Enoteca Regionale del Barolo. Nice but not as approachable as Parusso’s Bussia at this point, needs more waiting

Chewy tannins, high acid. Overall large perfumed presence. High toned floral notes mixed with dark fruit, anise, liquorice. Very structured.
