Silkwood red duet %50 cabaranet Sauvignon and %50 Syrah. 13.5% Alc. Red velvet label with gold lettering. Inky dark purple with about a 2-3 mm meniscus with lighter purple to reddish colors. No vintage on the label, so age is unknown. Fresh tobacco on the nose with baking spice and dark fruits. Flavors if dark berries, black cherries, cassis and currants with hints of spice. Long full lush finish accompanied by softening tannins. I was informed that this wine was served at the White House in the 1980's. I like it probably because it's from Lodi.

Rich and smooth. Bought at Mitsukoshi for ¥3,400. It is indicated as Australian but the bottle states as Californian.
