Definitively a California wine, but such an incredibly balanced version of that. Certainly not shy. Heady and somewhat extracted notes of raspberry jam, candied roses, clove, some dried strawberries, clean mineral Notes. But also finishes with a surprising Salinic spine. Texture is definitely dense, viscous and almost thick, but still refreshing acidity at the finish. This is just a complete wine and an excellent benchmark version if it’s terroir. Aging incredibly but may be at peak
