See previous note from March 2022. The value wine of 2022? Cost $25.95 and was awarded the Trophy for Best Pinot of the Adelaide Hills Wine Show. Would have won in good company at that Show. Not dissimilar to the Aloxe Corton in many respects. Red fruits, forest floor, herbal…..will have to be a regular purchase if they keep this quality and price constant. One left of these 2020s. Last one in a year.

Mid to pale Ruby in colour. Lovely aromatics of red cherry and strawberry together with a herbal whole bunch influence and a touch of oak spice. The quality of a good Village Burgundy at a fraction of the price. Reinforces the quality of Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir. This wine cost the princely sum of $25.95 and won the Trophy for Best Pinot at the Adelaide Hills Wine Show. Remarkably easy to drink at such a young age.

Vegetal stemmy stalky peppery notes indicating whole bunch fermentation. Light to medium weight palate more in the delicate mould. High ratings from the Aussie wine press including a Gold Medal at the Royal Sydney Wine Show. Only a Silver from me at 91 points. Great QPR at $20.95.

Mid-weight with good mouthfeel. Early raspberry with earthen/veg finish.

The 15 is completely unlike any other vintages I've seen..super tight and reductive, reasonably early pick means a delicate acid line which helps elongate it's length. Mid palate concentration is the game changer, far darker fruited than previous vintages and certainly delivers it truffle character too. Partial wholebunch is very evident yet not as powering as Sidewood's other clones. Beyond the steminess, forest fire and charred wood aromas lies raspberry coulis, sour cherry, burnt rhubarb, tea resign and an aroma reminiscent of the Vineyard after rain. Clean and precise.
