An opaque purple color, the '06 Shirvington Shiraz delivers sweet aromas of blueberry, cigar box, cola, tar and incense. A superbly balanced wine with spicy oak-scented flavors of black fruit and cocoa. The liqueur-like texture leads to a nicely focused finish.

Silky smooth with fine grained tannins giving structure to generous fruit and a plethora of baking spice notes. Very enjoyable!

2011, not a good year for Cabernets in the Barossa, ok in McLaren Vale but the Shiraz's excelled. Not the best year but good quality. Dark cassis, blackberries, expresso, dark cherries, full tannins...sticky, fine & dark, black plum, whispers of blue fruits, rhubarb, dry cranberries, caramel, light vanilla, soft warm spices, soft leather, crushed rocks, dry red florals, nice acidity and a finish that is simultaneously ripe and dry.

Beautiful nose of soft spice, ripe blueberries, blackberries, dark cherries, black plum. Palate of; soft dusty tannins, blackberries, black plum, plum, rhubarb, lifting warming spices as it sits on the palate, strawberry preserves fill in late, touch of brown sugar reduction & nice acidity. Once the wine sets on the palate, the wine is even start to finish. There's no drop flavors...it's consistent.

Soft, smooth and elegant. Dark Jammy fruit with long finish. It's not sold out, but it should be.

Nose of blackberry jam. Big and rich on the palate, this has dark fruit compote, milk chocolate, and finishes with a nice mineral/iron note. Warm but not hot, this is a great example of the style and (for me) not overdone. Yummy, though better for drinking alone than with food...
