Oct 28th, 2017Soft edges red fruit elegant notes of raspberry. Chocolate mouse elegance incredibly well integrated with a perfect balance of earth and fruit. Dollar for dollar this is a "no brainier"!!

Jul 29th, 2016Wow. Intensely aromatic. Barbecue spices, hickory smoke, eucalyptus, blackberries, molasses, tar, wet earth, pencil shavings, and crushed rocks leap from the glass. Medium weight on the palate. A wall of juicy black fruit; intensely extracted and built on a solid frame. Balanced with nice acidity. Light on its feet. Finishes with spice, leather, and graphite.

Jun 18th, 2016A wonderful value wine. The nose is leathery dark fruits. The finish is smooth and quite long. It is like melted milk chocolate. Very nice wine and a fine brother to the butcher -- the 2009 is a beautiful wine

Jun 9th, 2016Fruit forward, smooth tannins, velvety mouthfeel, not overly complex. Paired beautifully with prime T-bone steak. High ABV relatively unnoticeable.
