I agree with other reviewer that it has gerwurtz funk. If you aren't familiar with this grape it could be surprising and perhaps even off putting if you are use to chardonnay. Paired foods need to be strong.

Light bodied, white peach, faint notes of dried apricot, subtle lychee and discernible petrol. I could see this as a successful aperitif. I feel like it would be overpowered by most foods.
