WOW. Quite possibly the best NYS Pinot I’ve tried. Absolutely puts the lie to the idea that NY can’t make anything other than good reisling, This has everything you could want in an entry level pinot- it’s brambly, textured, savory, with beautifully integrated acids and gentle tannins. Simultaneously dense and feather light. Ready to drink at 6 years old. A beautifully aged Pinot that beats most burgundies I’ve tried below $60. This was $30? Not sure what to make of the few other so-so reviews. But this bottle which was stored in my cellar was ON, no doubt about it.

Okay. Still some nice fruit — strawberry, red stone fruit. But no structure and limited acidity.

Reds are hit or miss from upstate New York. This one was pretty good after it aired a bit. Nice berry hints, not too tanic, a bit earthy. I still prefer whites from this winery but this red passed the test.

This was MERLOT not pinot noir but I couldn't find it in the search box. Again a red from this region that was too shallow, too tanic, and not rich or bold like you want in a red. Every now and then they produce a nice red but this is another dud. We do like almost every white we get from there.

Stick to whites from Sheldrake Point given the climate. This young crop of grapes didn't produce a good vintage. Doesn't have the typical pinit noir taste and I didn't finish the bottle.

Never had an east coast Pinot before. Light body wine. Great with salmon crab cakes.
